To The End Of The World – El Nido Beach – Palawan, Philippines

Didn’t we say goodbye to Southeast Asia? Well, we thought we did, but a change in plans has brought us back. Specifically to Palawan, a remote island of the Philippines dubbed “the last frontier” because it’s still in the process of being discovered and settled.

After a flight to Manila, a flight to Puerta Princesa, and a seven hour bus ride, we’ve arrived in El Nido, a small village on the north end of the island. Internet is running at dialup speed at best, so we aren’t sure how much we’ll be able to touch base while we’re here.

Several travel organizations have named Palawan as a top island in the entire world, and we completely understand why. An early morning run took us to one of many beaches in the area for a peaceful view of our surroundings. Excited would be an understatement to describe how much we’re looking forward to exploring this place!
